    Ah Yes

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 03:17 PM PST [General]

Well I jinksed Triple H with my last blog, he lost his belt to Edge. When I said he should lose his belt I meant to anyone but Edge. Hopefully Jeff Hardy or Triple H will win the title from Edge at Armagedon. I hope John Cena anialates Chris Jericho he is such an ass .He can't handle losing the belt so he recrutes Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Manu. He has proven that he can't do anything himself. I think JBL has lost his mind he should not have made HBK that offer. I hope HBK doesn't take it but who can blame him if he does. Now for Vickie she knows that if Eddie were still alive she wouldn't be acting this way. Out of all the GM's WWE has had she is by far the most arrogant and the most annoying, even Eric ****off wasn't as bad as her and everyone wanted to kill him. Vickie Guerrero makes Eric ****off look look like a kitten compared to her she is pure evil. I bet Eddie is rolling around in his grave seeing what his wife has become and what about the girls she is setting a bad example for them. I hope Vince and the WWE board members finally fire her. Please fire her.

    Feeling sad

    Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 08:17 PM [General]

I go through these mood things from time to time.

I think the bottom line is, I am just exhausted. I have that heavy feeling under my ribcage that usually preludes depression, but hopefully with a good night sleep I will avoid that road.

I am kind of just venting here right now. One of my biggest tools in the battle against depression is to talk about it...write about it. Let it out. If I keep it inside it can destroy me. Argh. I wish I could just snap out of it....haha yeah, if it were only that easy.

Maybe I will start exercising or something. NOW--eh, probably not now.

    Thanks for listening.

    Lakers @ Pacers Tip @ 4pm

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 03:11 PM PST [General]

Mark Heisler, NBA columnist for the L.A. Times joins Money in the Lakers Zone @ 3:15 to breakdown the Lakers and the NBA.

The Los Angeles Lakers have sandwiched seven-game winning streaks around their lone loss of the season, looking every bit like the NBA's most dominant team.

It would be very surprising if they don't get to eight straight wins this time.

Los Angeles will put its perfect road record on the line on Tuesday night at Conseco Fieldhouse, as it begins a three-game eastern trip against the struggling Indiana Pacers.

The Lakers (14-1) won their first seven games by an average of 17.0 points, displaying perhaps the league's deepest roster around reigning MVP Kobe Bryant. They stumbled for the first time on Nov. 14, losing 106-95 at home to Detroit, but haven't lost since.

Los Angeles averaged 104.7 points during its 7-0 start, but has turned up the offense during its latest seven-game win streak, scoring 112.7 points per game.

Good defense has keyed the Lakers' 5-0 record on the road, where they are allowing 90.6 points per game and forcing an average of 18.2 turnovers.

They held an opponent below 40 percent from the field for the sixth time this season on Sunday in a 112-99 win over Toronto. Pau Gasol led the way with 24 points and Bryant added 23 on 9-of-14 shooting for Los Angeles, which is off to its best start since opening 16-1 in 2001-02.

"I think (starting) 10-5 would have been great with us, but we've been playing well enough to get that momentum," coach Phil Jackson said. "Now we're just playing on momentum most of the time."

Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal averaged more than half of Los Angeles' points seven years ago, leading the franchise to its third consecutive championship, but this team features better balance. Bryant scores 24.4 points per game - his fewest in five years - but six other Lakers average between 8.9 and 16.9 points.

One of those players is Andrew Bynum (12.4 ppg), who has started all 15 games after recovering from a knee injury that shut him down after mid-January last season. The 21-year-old center has a small bone spur in his right foot, suffered in a win over New Jersey last week, but has had back-to-back 18-point, 10-rebound games.

"There's going to be a period of adjustment he has to go through," Jackson said. "... But unless this moves around in his foot, we're in pretty good shape if he can adjust his play to accommodate that."

Bynum was around for both of the Lakers' wins over Indiana (6-10) last season, shooting 14-for-17 from the field while averaging 20.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocks.

The duo of Gasol and Bynum may be too much for the Pacers to handle, particularly considering their struggles against one of the league's best big men in their latest game. Dwight Howard had 32 points and 21 rebounds as Orlando handed Indiana its seventh loss in nine games, 110-96 on Saturday.

Despite the loss, coach Jim O'Brien saw progress from rookie center Roy Hibbert, who had 10 points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes as Troy Murphy and Rasho Nesterovic battled foul trouble.

"We just do not have a dominating inside presence right now," O'Brien said. "We think Roy is going to grow into one but, by and large, we get our points in the paint off movement. We don't have a dominating low-post game."

The Lakers lead the league in points in the paint (48.5 per game), but the Pacers are also in the top 10 (42.8 ppg).

One player who's scored all over the court is Indiana forward Danny Granger, who's sixth in the league in scoring (24.2 ppg) and is averaging 31.5 points in his last two games.

The Pacers had won four straight at home against the Lakers before a 134-114 loss on Nov. 20, 2007.

Violent crime's rarely about money nowadays

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 11:10 PM GMT [General]

Do lean times produce mean streets?  It's a particularly compelling question in New York at the moment. For those who believe that  economic  downturns must spell doom  for low crime figures, last weekend appeared to produce a bumper crop of supporting evidence.

In Brooklyn, a bus driver was stabbed to death by a young man he had told to get off for not having a valid bus pass.  In southern California, two men shot each other dead in a Toys 'R' Us store during the fight-for-a-bargain mayhem of the "Black Friday" sales.

But criminologists say that violent crime nowadays is usually not directly about money but more often about self-esteem and reputation. What,  in Guy Ritchie gangster films, they  endearingly call "respect".

Sure enough,  it turned out that the pair in the toy store were settling a pre-existing score involving their respective girlfriends.

Meanwhile, the bus killer actually got back on to the vehicle to deliver the fatal blow after deciding that punching the driver repeatedly was not punishment enough for his hurt pride.

Now, we have Plaxico Burress, the hapless  New York Giants star who managed to shoot himself in the leg with a gun he took into a Manhattan nightclub and couldn't help but fidget with.

Yet again, another violent act which had everything to do with swagger and nothing with swag. Ironically, there are few more embarrassing things that one can do in a nightclub.

Burress must now almost be wishing he had been caught holding someone up at a cash machine. Anything but this.

A few words on the Killers

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 11:09 PM GMT [General]

I am in love. I have been for a few years now. With a band. Is that actually possible? Well I certainly believe so. Their cds never leave my player, I frequently google them to be as up to date as possible.... hang on, that does sound a bit stalker-ish written down but I assure you it's just a pure acceptance of their sheer excellence in writing songs that mean a lot to me.

I am talking about America's "most English" band, the Las Vegas showmen:- The Killers. But they are not just style over substance. They have consistently bought out songs that raise the bar. I read a review that actually condemmed the fact that their 3 albums to date (not including "Sawdust", their b-sides compliation) did not all follow a signature sound. Surely then this completely misses the point, the fact they do that shows that they are not a one trick pony and that their skills as musicians are not limited?

Their frontman, Brandon Flowers, has had a bit of stick as of late over his writing abilities, the fact that some think he is incapable of writing about experiences other than his own, and it there has been some well publicised comments he has made that have irked a few others, and the never ending sexuality questions, which he summed up brilliantly by saying "controversy is never a bad thing". He has also openly stated that his band could be as good/big as U2. Quite a bold statement, but a very brave one at that, and one that is actually stacking up to be a fulfilling prophecy.

The facts, that they have sold over 12 million records worldwide (not inluding figures for their November release of "Day and Age" stand alone. This band has come from being another wannabe band to becoming something very special. And I for one will support them until they are "as big as U2".

In fact, Kanye's such a fan, he actually thinks Beyowulf is better than Tina Turner!

    TINA TURNER!!!!!!!!!

During a recent interview, Kanye said Beyonce "is just as great, if not greater, than artists we had in the past. She's probably greater than Tina Turner."

And this isn't the first time Kanye praises the armpit-loving singer.

Just a few weeks ago he said that Beyonce's Single Ladies song was a step up for her.

Kanye then added, "Nobody really wants to recognize that Beyoncé is a f%^&ng living legend."

    Down the Rabbit Hole

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 06:02 PM EST [General]

Hello, hello, hello!  I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to blog, blog, blog!  Wow! I think I had too much caffeine.  I just watched RAW again.  I watch it while it airs and then again  the next day so I can note all the things I want to say: just a little insight into the inner workings of my mind. RAW gets two thumbs up from me this week, because 1) I only have 2 thumbs, and 2) it was good! Duh!!!!

    Seriously,

Chris Jericho - Ahh...  What can I say about him at this point?  He's a force of nature and no matter how many times you get aggravated with him, he still has a little energy left to aggravate you some more.  But, I love it.  He started the show discussing how he has to save his son from John Cena and how he disrespects us little folk.  That's cool.  That's cool.  But let me just say this.  He's got an issue with Cena being his son's hero and so he pulled the plug on his sons watching time.  But, he doesn't have a problem with his son watching his father beat the hell out of Cena?  The violence, he doesn't care about.  Interesting...hmmm.

Is Chris jealous of the now enraged, hell-bent champion?  Again, interesting...hmmm.

Side Note:  Lilian's boots were FABULOUS Monday night!

Rey Mysterio got a bit roughed up before his match with the Miz by Mike "Knox 'em all about", and Stephanie later came on and said he had some ligament damage in his elbow.  Great.  Look what you did, you big mook!!!!

Punk & Kingston vs. Rhodes & Manu - So, here's the thing.  I only wish I saw in CM Punk 5, 6 months ago what I see in him today.  I've always liked him but lately, I've been taking a slight more shining to the punk-a-licious, parade enjoying, unique wrestler.  This match was solid. (I said solid. I better go get JJ and go to the local Discotheque, in my bell bottoms and boogie on down! lol..)  Anyhoo, Randy was looking on from the locker room.  I noticed Cody left the blue trunks behind for the black...hmmm:> I liked it.  Manu ran wild on Kofi for a bit and Kofi responded in much the same manner.

Cody is wrestling smarter, not faster. He's less impetuous and more focused.  Manu has the power and skills down, but lacks some of that focus by worrying about what's going on with the outside.  What one has the other lacks. That's why these two will go all the way. Of course, that's provided they stay friends.  If they could just trust each other's judgement in regard to letting the man in the ring worry about the opponent in the ring and let his partner on the outside worry about the outside intereferences.  They're definitely doing their homework and Randy is doing such a  great job with them.  They deserve credit too.  It's not all Randy. It IS a collabortive.  I'm so excited here I could spit!  Sorry, not very lady-like but what are you going to do, RKO me? Eventually, Kingston and Punk won the match. It was a great win too.  However, the prize that Manu & Rhodes will get is worth a whole lot more I tell ya.

Randy was coyishly waiting backstage for his proteges to whimper in.  Coy and clever is Randy.  He offered them an opportunity to collectively run amuck later on in the show.  It was their choice...

I'm so proud.  You know, the "You Can't See Me" motto should be Randy's.  If you think about it, RAW has no idea what's in store for the future (provided all the actors play their parts correctly).  All the stars are aligning though. Hee hee. I'm giddy with anticipation.  Okay, so I do have a bit of an mischieveous mind but if I can't write about it, what can I do with it?  Is Randy secretly raising an army?  yup yup. Nobody is the wiser?  nope nope.  (giddy) shhh..it's a secret.

Jericho tried to persuade Kane with lies in order to protect his assests, if you will. But luckily, Kane didn't fall for it.  Good boy!

Jillian vs. Melina - Can I tell you all how happy I am that Melina is back! However, now she has a Glamazonian shadow following her.  Melina won her match. Woohoo! Santino getting hurt was icing on the cake.  Not the injury, btw, but how he got the injury.

Quote of the week: "The only good thing about Santino is that he's not a twin!" -Jerry "The King" Lawlor.

JBL vs. HBK - This was just disrtubing.  Will HBK end up working for JBL????  What??? I don't care how desperate I was, I'd never work for JBL.  Yes, he's loaded.  But can you imagine what THAT would be like if you were Shawn Michaels??? He lost his money.  Okay.  But, did he lose his mind and self-respect too?  I DOUBT IT!  Shawn?  I've quoted it before and I must quote it again, " The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep." -Robert Frost

Dolph Ziggler vs. Batista - Must he introduce himself 87 times?  I suppose so.  Poor bastard. I believe his first match was with Batista.  How's that for being born under a bad sign???  Maybe he has to introduce himself so many times because he's afraid he'll forget his name after the brain busting that happens directly after??  Or, perhaps he's afraid WE'LL forget his name after the brain busting that happens directly after?  In any event, welcome to the WWE buddy!

Randy Orton stepped out from behind to congratulate Batista on his win.  Batista, however, was already aware of Randy's motive and zinged him with a match at Armegeddon.  This is going to be great. ah ah ahhhhhhh.  I'm so excited.

Jericho caught up with Randy backstage. (Damn. I've got to get backstage one of these days. That's where all the good dirt goes down!) Jericho tried to persuade Randy into picking a side well, his side, to attack Cena later on in the night.  Randy is smart enough to know that life finds a way.  You can prepare all you want but eventually, something will come out of nowhere and you must roll with the punches.  Fight or flight, baby!

Okay.  Onto Finley vs John Morrison:  I am SOOOOOO appreciative of this match. I'm thinking it was a small Christmas gift to me from the WWE. At least, that's what I'd like to believe. So, leave me alone.  Loved Morrison's glasses btw.  The man needs a hair commercial too, people.  Such great locks!  Anyway, I fell off my bed when John won!  I was so ecstatic.  FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!  My ideal Intercontinental Championship match would be John Morrison vs Rey Mysterio.  I know. I'm getting ahead of myself here but I can't help it.  You go, John!!!!  If you use your imagination, do you even KNOW how great that match could be?????  I love Mysterio but I've been waiting for Morrison to reach his true potential and just...thank you ,thank you for the present of the year!

So...Superstar of the year: Edge, Batista, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho and John Cena. Okay, so now I have to say, Why isn't Randy's name up there???? Whatever. Hopefully, my girl Stephanie McMahon will continue to allow Randy more opportunities. My picks would be Jeff Hardy or ,dare I say, Edge.  Truth be told, I would LOVE to just blog on my reasons for all of them to win the award but, frankly, there's just no time for that.  So, to make a long story short.  Jeff Hardy would be my ultimate choice.  Edge has been great this year. Not good great, of course. He's done some pretty horrifying things. But did he not entertain us to exhaustion??? C'mon guys. He went above and beyond the call of duty this year.  However, speaking of above and beyond..that is why I feel Jeff should win.  No one can do what he does, like he does.  Yes, he can be unpredictable. Yes, he can be, nuts. Yes, he can be off the wall extreme.  But isn't that what makes him great???  I have a million reasons why he should win. I say, Jeff.  But that's just me.

The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio - Rey looked like a one armed, flying purple people eater out there.  He never gives up though.  He wants the IC title.   The Miz can be really powerful at times.  If only he could sustain that power through the whole match.  He loves what he does. You can't argue with that but Rey's desire got the win. Randy? Do you have room for just one more?  The Miz?

Kane vs. John Cena - Cena still get smixed reactions when he comes out and he loves it!  He looks great, in my opinion.  However, looks can be deceiving.  Is he really okay?  Physically, yes, okay perhaps.  But mentally.  Wow!  I'm not so convinced.  The match was great, until Jericho ran to the ring creating the distraction he had planned earlier. (Hey, at least he didn't lie about it).  The inner enraged beast started to come out again.  His eyes even change; not the color, but something behind his eyes.  It's a bit too real for my liking.  Everything just got chaotic when Cody and Manu came out and started whaling on Cena.  Then, the big guy, himself, Randy was there to attack him also.  Did all this just make the beast even worse?  Did the flame just get more intense?  Yup. Uh oh...  I hate this part...the aftermath. But I have to say this; down the rabbit hole, anyone? I've already got MY ticket.

This week's Focus Favorite:  John Morrison

So, what would you do down the rabbit hole?

I'd start a revolution if only my cell phone, pda, computer, and ipod would all tell the same time!

Watch SmackDown and braid something.  It's fun.

    Flawless

    MI MAMI CASI SE MUERE

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 06:00 PM EST [General]

La semana de Thanksgiving fui de emergencia a El Paso tx. Mi mama se puso bien grave. Mi hermana que vive aya nos llamo para decirnos que internaron a mi mama en Zaragoza, Chihuhua.
